    The Fuel Pipeline Transportation Limited (FPT) was found on 21 May 1991 by the cabinet resolution subjected mainly to reduce the number of road and rail fuel transportation vehicles transiting on Bangkok Metropolitan and vicinity areas.

    According to the resolution of the cabinet, The Thai Airways International Public Company Limited acts as the pivotal joint ventures to establish the company named “Fuel Pipeline Transportation Limited (FPT)”.

    To construct the pipeline system route Bangchak-Donmuang-Bang Pa-In, the company was sign the loan agreement with bank and financial institutions.

    Due to Thai government policy devalue the Baht and started operating a managed float for the Baht exchange rate, the exchange rate went up from 25 baht per USD to 45 baht per USD in 1997. As the result, Fuel Pipeline Transportation Limited also impact on this policy. The company liabilities increase from 2,139 Million Baht to 4,083 Million Baht.

    Fuel Pipeline Transportation Limited (FPT) responsed to the financial crisis impact on the managed float of Thai baht by being the first company in Thailand to restructure its loan with creditor groups. The ceremony of first restructure loan held at Bank of Thailand (BOT). The company liabilities decreased from 4,083 Million Baht to 3,217 Million Baht.

    The first day of operate by transport aviation fuel from main supplies sources that are Bangchak refinery, Shell Depot and Chevron Depot at Chongnonsi via pipeline system of JP-One Asset Co., Ltd., which connected to the pipeline system of FPT at Makasan off-take Station.

    Due to Bangkok Aviation Fuel Service Public Company Limited (BAFS) ask for the Central Bankruptcy Court to rehabilitation of Fuel Pipeline Transportation Limited (FPT). The Central Bankruptcy Court approved for the rehabilitation.

    Fuel Pipeline Transportation Limited (FPT) had proceeded according to the rehabilitation plan and had fully accomplished the terms and conditions for the success of the rehabilitation. FPT has recovered from insolvent condition and has sufficient liquidity for future operation. The Central Bankruptcy Court ordered the termination of the rehabilitation of FPT. The company liabilities remain only 813 million baht.
